I made this because many people are entering hacked lobbies and having their settings / options changed without their consent. Although it is very easy to revert, most people don't know how to how to do it.An example of a messed up config file is:- The mini-map seems to be 'covered' around your screen or is not there at all.- None or some of your controls don't seem to work or stick after changing them.- The game is lagging intensively due to super high graphic settings.- There are strange numbers along the top part of the screen.- The in-game sounds / music is messed up.NOTE - This will NOT reset your rank. If you wish to reset your rank, refer to this thread. Steps to reset:1. Make sure 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Multiplayer' is closed down. You do not need to close Steam down.2. Havit 54mbps wireless usb adapter driver. Find the 'configmp' file and delete it. This file is the config file that stores your settings for MW2 Multiplayer. The file will automatically reappear when you restart the game.4.
Restart MW2 Multiplayer.5. Reconfigure your Graphics settings + controls (if necessary).6. You are done!You may also want to consider changing your configmp file to 'Read-only'. This way your file cannot be messed up or changed again from joining another hacked lobby. Note that every time you want to change a setting or control you will need to exit the game and turn off 'Read-only' when you want to do this.

This can be done by going into the file properties for the configmp file and unticking 'Read-only' again. Notes:You CANNOT be banned from simply entering a hacked lobby or having a changed config file. Unless you are running cheats or mods on your computer, then you don't need to worry about a VAC ban.You can actually open the config file yourself with notepad and tweak a few things if you wish. For example - you can increase the number of ping bars from 4 to 10 for a more accurate reading.
You can also tweak the glass physics to float up into the air. There are also a few graphic tweaks you can make.Deleting the config file(s) will not change your rank in any way.Any questions regarding this please post them below.Thanks everyone.
